Laundry Attendant Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store hotel linens and towels in a safe and hygienic manner.
- Inspect linens for stains or damage and ensure they meet our high-quality standards.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the laundry area.
- Replenish storage units
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
- Assist with inventory management to ensure an adequate supply of linens and towels.
- Strip rooms as needed.
- Clean public areas as needed.
- Support and cross-train other departments as needed.
- Work as a team.
- Collaborate with colleagues.
- Pursue continuous improvement.
Laundry Attendant Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or knowledge equivalent to at least two years of high school education.
- Physical ability to handle and process a substantial volume of linen and terry.
- Capable of lifting up to 30-50 pounds.
- Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routines, with the stamina to stand and work for extended periods.
- Visual acuity to see up close and distance, and adjust focus to view spots, stains, defects, etc.
- Previous job experience is preferred; however, training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail when performing cleaning tasks.
- Able to work variable schedules.
- Proficient in following verbal instructions.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to work all Holidays, Weekends, and extended hours as needed
