Position Overview:
As a Front Desk Supervisor you will lead a team of professionals in providing exceptional service, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and comfortable accommodations throughout their stay. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive environment for staff and guests alike!
Responsibilities
- Provide shift coverage
- Assist GM in leading team meetings
- Collaborate with leadership to carry out action plans to improve guest experience and lead team initiatives
- Be a front of house role model
- Train new hires
- Maximize usage of company tools and systems
- Crosscheck billing instructions and data entry
- Lead loyalty enrollments
- Develop a culture of service "above and beyond"
- Perform check-in and check-out tasks
- Manage online and phone reservations
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify credit card data
- Register guests collecting necessary information
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
- Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor chats and messaging systems to ensure guests are given authentic and personalized hospitality
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
- Assist sales teams with group blocks and assignments
- Inspect rooms and common areas, and enforce rules
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
- Cross-train other positions including bistro, banquets, and night audit where required
- Follow industry trends, market activities, and pursue continuous learning
- Assist GM with special projects and assignments
Qualifications:
- Expert level knowledge of the Fosse PMS system.
- Experience with the Marriott Brand training and programs.
- Supervisory or team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with a passion for providing exceptional service.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Organizational skills.
- Desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
