Who We Are Looking For:
The Team Leader is the group leader of a production line responsible for the team’s overall quality and productivity results. The Team Leader performs packaging material format changes, on-line repairs, trouble-shooting and preventative maintenance on packaging equipment.
Starting Team Leader positions will likely work on the plant's 3rd shift: 11pm to 7am CST, Monday-Friday. There may be a need to work any shifts; 2nd and 3rd shifts provide shift pay differential. There may be weekend shift work required. This position's hourly pay rate is subject to CBA.
What You'll Do:
- Perform all equipment SOPs (standard operating procedures) as required.
- Perform necessary adjustment to ensure proper transfer of bottles, caps, and corrugated through cleaner, filler, capper, case former, and packer.
- Conduct all quality control checks in accordance with ACH Foods policy, with the assistance of the Line Operators to correct deficiencies as required.
- Change filters and oil flow valves for scheduled product changeovers and control inlet oil and outlet to dump tank.
- For bottle size changeovers, correctly change cleaner, filler, capper, labeler, and rails to case packer.
- Change cap sorter bowl and code dater for bottle, and case and assist the Material Coordinator in correctly changing case packer, all within an hour.
- Perform preventative maintenance programs and lubrication. Generate future corrective action lists to minimize future downtime.
- Provide aid to Line Operators and Material Coordinators to assure proper amounts of package supplies for all changeovers.
- Perform breakdown repairs on any equipment from truck unloading through palletizing operations.
- Responsible for ensuring proper line area GMPs (good manufacturing practices) and sanitation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Education (GED) required.
- Must be an experienced operator with the ability to do higher skill mechanical adjustments.
- Demonstrate team leadership by providing information, coaching, and counseling to ensure team effectiveness and help to define areas/need for change to improve effectiveness.
- Basic computer technology knowledge and skills.
