Job Title: Learning Center Daycare Worker

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Center Daycare Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children ages [Insert Age Range]. This role involves promoting the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of children while ensuring that they are cared for and engaged in age-appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Child Care and Supervision:
- Provide direct care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Supervise children during daily activities, including play, meals, and rest periods.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to children’s needs and emergencies.
- Learning and Development:
- Assist with the implementation of educational programs and activities based on developmental milestones.
- Encourage children’s cognitive, emotional, and social development through structured play, music, arts and crafts, and educational games.
- Support children in acquiring basic academic skills such as counting, letter recognition, and social skills.
- Communication:
- Foster positive relationships with children and their families.
- Communicate children’s progress and any concerns to parents or guardians.
- Maintain open communication with team members and management.
- Behavioral Management:
- Implement positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
- Set clear and consistent boundaries to promote a respectful, safe, and positive environment for all children.
- Health and Safety:
- Ensure that the daycare center is a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Follow health and safety protocols, including sanitation, meal and snack preparation, and first aid procedures.
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and report injuries or incidents promptly.
- Administrative Duties:
- Document children’s progress and behavior.
- Keep track of attendance, meal logs, and other required documentation.
- Assist with maintaining daycare supplies and inventory.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Child Development Associate (CDA) certification preferred).
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate learning techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- CPR and First Aid Certification and CDA (or willingness to obtain).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry children up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to engage in physical activities with children, including bending, kneeling, and sitting on the floor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Work Schedule:
- Full-Time: 6:00 am-3: 00pm (1 hour lunch)
- Full-Time: 8:30 am-5:30 pm (1 hour lunch)
- Part-Time: Substitute Teacher flexible full day hours
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
