As a Community Living Services Instructor, you will play a crucial role in this mission, providing support and training to individuals in their homes and within the community. This role is centered on skill development and does not involve personal care tasks.
Responsibilities
- Encourage and instruct clients in the development of self-advocacy skills and financial management.
- Assist individuals in enhancing their interaction and social skills within the community.
- Teach and encourage proper leisure activities and the effective use of leisure time.
- Provide training as indicated on the Individual Service Plan (ISP) to ensure acquisition, retention, and improvement of adaptive skills and behaviors.
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license and auto insurance (driving is a part of this position).
- Ability to pass a LiveScan background check through FBI/DOJ.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to be a role model for adults with disabilities.
- Flexibility and availability to work at least one weekend day per week.
Compensation
The anticipated hiring range is $18.50 to $20.50 per hour plus a $250 hiring bonus. Full salary schedule is $18.50 to $20.50 per hour, DOE.
