Description
I. BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Repairs and maintains industrial machinery and related equipment consisting of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Work from lists to perform planned, daily, preventative maintenance assignments.
2. Work productively alone and collaboratively with a team.
3. Troubleshoot and repair industrial systems including:
a. Mechanical drive systems; Gearboxes, belts, pulleys, shafts, bearings, conveyors, etc.
b. Hydraulic systems; Pumps, hoses, cylinders, valves, fittings, etc.
c. Electrical systems; High/low voltage distribution, control circuits, data/signal, etc.
4. Read and understand mechanical drawings.
5. Read and understand electrical schematics.
6. Operate machine/equipment for testing and diagnosis.
7. Adjustment and calibration of machine/equipment.
8. Obtain quotes and initiate purchase orders for parts and materials.
9. Performs basic carpentry, welding, and plumbing repairs.
10. Various other duties as assigned.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training: High School Graduate.
Experience: 3 years machine maintenance in an industrial setting.
Skills/Aptitude: Ability to follow verbal and written instruction. Troubleshooting/diagnostic skills. Desire to learn and to be challenged.
Working Conditions: Factory environment, heavy lifting, on-call, overtime, shift schedules,
ability to interface with factory personnel.
