Job Description : aci env. consulting has an opening for a Senior Project Manager in Austin, Texas. The prospective candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of various environmental compliance projects including public linear infrastructure and private sector clients. This is a full-time position with salary commensurate with the candidate’s experience and skillset.
The ideal candidate will have a specialty in one or more of the following : Natural Resources, Cultural Resources, Geology, GIS, or Environmental Compliance. General duties of the position include all levels of project management : preparing and planning field operations, conducting field studies, preparing reports of findings, client communications and agency coordination. The candidate is expected to understand the various state or federal regulatory laws and conditions in Texas and / or Colorado.
Candidates must be able to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (e.g., rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures), and must be willing to travel. Candidates should also have a positive attitude, be team oriented, maintain a strong work ethic, and have a willingness to learn and execute new tasks. The candidate must be able to work independently and possess good judgment.
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, cultural resources, geology or environmental sciences.
- 5 years of professional environmental consulting experience.
- Candidates must have demonstrated experience managing projects, personnel, and budgets in an efficient, resourceful, and professional manner.
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local regulation in Texas and / or Colorado (e.g. NEPA, ESA, CWA, and others)
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, strong people skills, excellent communication skills, as well as good judgement
- Must excel in a collaborative, self-directed work environment
- Overnight travel may be required
