Inventory Specialist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and Monitor Inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess.
• Conduct regular cycle counts (on-hand counts) and audits to verify inventory accuracy.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) – NetSuite to track inventory movements and maintain data integrity.
• Develop processes and procedures for Purchasing inventory, including forecasting, and max/min levels to optimize order quantities.
• Analyze inventory data using SQL and financial analysis techniques to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Manage Inventory flow to optimize inventory levels in multiple warehouse.
• Evaluated supplier quotes based on purchasing procedures and competitiveness in quality, price, and delivery.
• Provide guidance on sourcing decisions related to product specifications, materials selection, and vendor selection criteria.
• Coordinated activities across various departments such as marketing, finance, and operations to ensure timely completion of procurement processes.
• Implement best practices for inventory control, including the use of MRP systems.
• Implemented stock optimization strategies and minimized product loss.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient receiving processes are being followed, and the safe storage, and distribution of all products.
• Coordinate export and import shipments, custom broker agents, and domestic land carrier services to manage logistics and import activities.
• Organized and prioritized projects.
• Research new products or technologies available in the market that could benefit the organization's operations.
• Warehouse Organization, for efficient access and inventory handling.
• Identified potential vendors and evaluated them according to price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, and sustainability.
• Generated weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports on purchasing operations.
• Manage the procurement involving acquisitions of raw materials, equipment, samples, and processes of temporary admission as well as coordination of export and import procedures.
• Conduct market research for the identification of suppliers.

Hiring Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management is preferred.
• Familiarity with Inventory systems or similar software is a plus.
• Skilled at problem-solving, communicating, influencing, and decision-making.
• Excellent business communication skills (verbal and written), able to present information clearly and accurately.
• High level of commitment to quality work product, organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance.
• Knowledge of manufacturing/ crane management practices will be beneficial.
• Experience with data analysis is advantageous but not required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
• Ability to work independently, lead projects, multi-task, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Compensation and Hours

Basis for unit of salary/pay: Hourly

Salary: Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Pay Comments: Salary based on experience and aptitude of candidate
