Position Overview
ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the HR department by managing essential HR functions. Responsibilities include assisting the Director of Human Resources with payroll processing, benefits administration, maintaining employee records, coordinating recruitment and new hire onboarding, maintaining the HR information system (HRIS), and managing employee engagement recognition. This role provides comprehensive HR support across all practice offices.
Essential Job Functions
- Assists with the overall administration and coordination of daily operations within the human resources department.
- Facilitates activities related to recruitment, including job posting, candidate sourcing, and interviews.
- Assists with benefits administration, including supporting the open enrollment process.
- Organizes, updates, and maintains personnel files; prepares and manages HR documents and performs data entry for the HRIS (ADP) system software.
- Oversees and coordinates the new hire onboarding processes, including processing of new hire paperwork.
- Assists the Director of HR with payroll administration.
- Performs general clerical duties to include filing, copying, maintaining, tracking, mailing and ordering Human Resources materials, etc.
- Assists in coordinating employee special events, including recognition programs and other staff engagement activities.
- Assures compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws as well as regulations from other applicable agencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the HR department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Preferred
- HR experience in a healthcare setting
- SHRM-CP Certification
