DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
The Director of Human Resources will plan, develop, and implement the policies and activities associated with the Organization's people, ensuring legal compliance and consistency with the Organization's Strategic Plan. The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for educating the management team on the benefits of workforce investments as it relates to the Organization's Return on Investment; analyzing human capital data and industry trends to guide recommendations regarding Organizational policy; building Organizational culture to improve employee retention and talent attraction; and recruiting new talent to the Organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with Executive Team to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Administers human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's talent management system.
- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Develops and implements departmental budget.
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities.
- Performs other duties as required.

This position is based in our Minot, ND office; however, occasional travel to other locations and business conferences may be required on an occasional basis.
Salary & Benefit Information
This is a full-time exempt position with a pay range is $61,500-$81,500 annually, depending on experience, plus a competitive benefits package. As an additional benefit, Ackerman-Estvold compensates salaried individuals for overtime at the base rate for hours worked over 40 hours in a week.
