This vital position is based in Glen Cove but requires travel throughout Nassau County
Full-time: Monday-Friday 9a-5p; flexible schedule required to meet needs of program
Non-Bachelor: $24.72/hour
Bachelor or higher: $27.00/hour

The Charles Evans Center is looking a Housing Specialist for our Supportive Housing – Independent Living Program. Work directly with residents implementing and documenting the delivery of all housing assistance services. Play an active role in helping residents live independently and successfully in their community of choice. Evaluate, assist and support residents where necessary in learning how to perform daily living tasks including, but not limited to, apartment cleaning and household chores.
We require:
- Associate degree or equivalent in college credits. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience working in OMH field.
- Clean and valid NYS driver’s license and the use of a vehicle on a daily basis.
