Summary
The Nurse Supervisor manages and coordinates the overall activities of nursing personnel on the assigned shift to assure both the quality of care and continuity of care provided. This position manages and coordinates the care of neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients in compliance with established ARMC policies, procedures, and regulatory agency standards.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN, or BA in health care related field preferred.
- Current licensure in the state of Ohio
- Demonstrated supervisory and management skills as they relate to the practice of Nursing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Required Length and Type of Experience
- Four (4) years or more of clinical experience in hospital setting required.
- Management experience within a healthcare facility, preferred.
Required Licensure or Certification
- BCLS Certification required
- ACLS or successful completion of this within six months of hire required.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires the ability to walk six to eight miles in an eight hour shift and to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. This job also requires that an individual be able to work under periods of high stress.
