Marine Fiberglass Technician

Busy upscale boatyard/marina, located on beautiful Falmouth Harbor, looking to immediately hire a Marine Fiberglass Technician.

Marine Fiberglass Technician must be capable of performing glass work from minor repairs and gel coat touch ups to major structural repairs and modifications. Also, must have a strong technical knowledge of laminating products, techniques and procedures.

Applicants must:

• Must have at least 2 years experience in glass work or equivalent mix of experience and training
• Must be motivated to take direction, work as a team as well as independently
• Maintain an organized and clean working area
• Must be able to swim
• Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluation situations and making decisions.
• General seamanship knowledge, boating right of ways rules, basic navigation, and inshore and offshore mooring techniques.
• Work tasks may be performed both indoors and outdoors.

• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent walking, reaching, bending, turning, and stooping,
• Outside work for extended periods of time in various weather conditions.
• Normal vision and hearing ranges required.
• Must be comfortable using all dock equipment and materials (gas pump, boats, ropes, anchors, among others).

Working hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is possible during busy periods.

Hourly pay will be based on experience with good benefits, such as holiday pay, vacation pay, 401k, Life, LTD, AD&D and health/dental/vision insurance.
