Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Lead to oversee our inventory processes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products within our distribution center. This position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to optimize inventory levels and fulfill orders accurately.
Responsibilities
- Research the history of physical and systematic goods within Distribution Center.
- Enter data for quantities of inventory issued and transferred between locations.
- Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment to safely stage and move merchandise throughout the distribution center.
- Perform cycle counts.
- Assist other team members as needed to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Assist the Supervisor with daily tasks to ensure the departmental goals are met.
- Assist the Supervisor with ensuring the inventory team is being productive and accurate.
- Run and create inventory queries in Warehouse Management System.
- Reconcile discrepancies in inventory.
- Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.
- Must utilize a computer and/or a manual tracking system of information.
- Promote team approach by cooperating with all staff at the distribution center.
- Initiate transactions through the RF system to ensure that the correct merchandise has been electronically updated.
- Complete inventory consolidations, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Be a role model and change agent by embracing continuous improvement ideas and concepts.
- Lead and work on special projects, as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits to ensure integrity.
Requirements
- 2 years of direct inventory leadership experience.
- 3 years working directly in a moderate-to-high volume environment.
- Able to add, subtract, divide, calculate percentages, read fractions.
- Must be able to read, speak and write English fluently.
- Able to comprehend English and and follow instructions.
- Experience utilizing RF scanner.
- Previous Experience operating material handling equipment.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to stand and walk for duration of shift
- Ability to twist, turn, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, see, and hear
- Ability to reach and lift above shoulder height for duration of shift
- Ability to work on elevated surfaces for duration of shift
- Ability to lift and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
