What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at Acorn Pulp Group?
Acorn Pulp Group has immediate needs for a Production workers on both days and night shift.
Summary:
Actively involved in all aspects of the molded pulp process from loading raw materials into the machine, maintaining the pulp process, and ensuring finished goods meet quality expectation and are properly processed for shipping.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Check production output ensuring quality expectations are achieved.
· Ability to follow direction.
· Monitor production with attention to detail and good organization skills
· Maintain inventory accuracy of 98% or greater.
· Monitor and controls scrap.
. Develop and share best practices across all shifts.
Night shifts receives a $2.00 shift differential
· Maintain facility and general housekeeping to ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
· Adhere to all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. Work within OSHA compliance regulations.
· Make recommendations and implement processes to improve the overall efficiency, quality, and safety of production operations
Physical Demands:
· Stand for long periods of time.
· Must be able to work on Production floor 10 hours.
· Ability to lift 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
· Use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
· Bend or twist their body.
Skills/ Requirements
· High School diploma/GED
· Previous manufacturing experience a plus.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Currently APG is requiring all new employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. A verifiable qualifying exemption will be reviewed
