Acorn Veterinary Clinic is a small animal veterinary practice in Davis CA looking for a full time customer-oriented service representative. A customer service representative, or CSR, will act as a liaison, provide product/services information and schedule appointments for the client. The best CSRs genuinely enjoy helping customers. They’re patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. The ideal candidate will assist clients and their pets during the check in and out process, answer phone lines, schedule appointments, relay messages to veterinarians, processing veterinarians’ recommendations in medical charts, and completing end of day financial reports. The ideal candidate ensures excellent service standards, responds efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large amounts of incoming calls
  • Schedule routine and urgent care medical appointments
  • Schedule procedures and surgeries
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies

Skills

  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable with using computer
  • Ability to prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • AA or higher

2 years of experience in customer service or in the veterinary field is preferred.
