**DESCRIPTION**
The IGNITE Director of Business Development is responsible for the development and creation of the sales story for all client needs, including, but not limited to, business reviews, new product assessment, business trends and insights. Work closely with the IGNITE RSD’s and CDM’s as well as the client CEO or head of sales. The IGNITE Director of Business Development also leads, develops, and creates all retailer presentations for the IGNITE Regional Sales Team. Additionally, help identify opportunities, for both the client and retailers, by creating the selling story for an effective sales presentation.

Create Business Development Tools
Best In Class Sales Materials
Retailer Sales Decks
Quarterly Business Reviews for each Client
Utilization of Syndicated Data (SPINS & Nielsen)
Proficient in building category and brand sales stories
Build client data scorecards
Research insights to share with clients (Mintel, Spectra, Acosta Insights Reports)
Category insights for client innovation projects
Insights on potential clients, new and trending attributes
Salesforce.com – internal trade management tool
Own/manage annual planning process and timeline
Ongoing system maintenance
Ongoing reporting enhancements
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Expected Proficiencies for this Position:**
Strong Syndicated Data (SPINS, Nielsen) knowledge and analytical skills
Advanced experience with Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI
Highly proficient in supermarket math (IE: Profitability, Margin Analysis, Trade Analysis, etc.)
Excellent communication skills
**Preferred Experience:**
Manufacturer/CPG 3-5 years
Previous role in business development/category management and analytical capacities
Extensive knowledge of natural and grocery channel retailers
Working knowledge of distributor network (IE: UNFI, KeHe, etc.)
Experience with CRM/Trade Spend tools (Salesforce)
