AcqCentric Navy Operations group needs an individual to provide the Services Division Department with facilities-related support necessary for the Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC), Naval Station Mayport, Florida. SERMC provides and manages various types of facility support services, such as troubleshooting, repair, testing, and logistical support related to the SERMC support services division.
DESCRIPTION:
- Serve as SERMC central point of contact for Facilities Support Services
- Serve as the building maintenance manager for tasks such as painting, sheetrock repairs, electrical troubleshooting, plumbing problems, masonry issues, adjusting door locks/ hinges, ventilation and air conditioning repair/troubleshooting.
- Prepare transportation reports for SERMC vehicle maintenance records
- Provide input to all phases of facilities engineering with extensive technical knowledge via SERMC SharePoint Facilities website
- Attend and participate in teleconferences, forums, and meetings with other Commands
- Provide physical and electronic formats of all documents and reports produced to Code 1100 leadership, including the Corporate Operations Division Manager
- Provide a monthly report of tasks accomplished to the COR no later than the 5th workday of the following month
- The contractor must maintain currency in periodic training as prescribed by industry, local, and/or DoD/DoN requirements
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION
- Five (5) years of facilities-related experience in construction/ building maintenance
- Two (2) years of experience in all phases of facilities engineering, with extensive technical knowledge in Electrical, Civil, Architecture, and/or Mechanical engineering
- Three (3) years of experience in having a good working knowledge of architecture, pipefitting/plumbing, and electrical engineering
- Excellent speaking skills and capability of facilitating and leading group discussions
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Programs
- Familiar with costs and engineering economics since these are especially important in the preparation of specifications and design
- Ability to develop scopes of work
