About the Role
The Cardiac Sonographer will work under the guidance of the overseeing clinical provider and in collaboration with the Porter Cardiology Practice Manager to perform high-quality echocardiograms and ensure exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound studies to assist in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions.
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and medical teams to provide timely and accurate patient assessments.
- Maintain and calibrate echocardiography equipment to meet industry standards.
- Educate patients on procedures, safety measures, and follow-up care.
- Participate in professional development programs and ensure compliance with all laboratory standards.
Required Qualifications
- RDCS (ARDMS), RCS (CCI), or CRCS (CARDUP) certification required within one year of hire.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to interact with patients and medical staff effectively.
