Summary

Duties
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmental appropriate practice and early learning standards that actively engages children and encourages social, cognitive and emotional growth.
- Actively engage in activities, manage cleanliness, and communicate the availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to childcare center.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and forms
- Work towards an Early Childhood Education Certificate within 5 years (Scholarships are available)
- High energy.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear full background check.
- Must pass health screening. (TB)
- Washington food handlers certification
- Proof of MMR vaccine
- 30 hours Child Care Basics, ECE certificate, (scholarships available)
- Bloodborne Pathogens certificate
- Must be 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
