Summary
We are looking for a Preschool Teacher to join our team of caring and creative care givers. As a preschool teacher you will have the opportunity to impact the growth of young children and guide them through many incredible milestones in their critical first few years. Duties
Design lesson plans that facilitate the children's social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
Implement age-appropriate activities and work as a team player with peers and associates
Tend to children's basic needs
Mediate conflict between children
Track and inform parents of children's progress through written progress reports and daily communications
Model appropriate behaviors
Encourage staff/parent communication
Evaluate and improve the physical environment of the classroom to create opportunities that meet the changing needs of the developing children
Insure the center's philosophies and policies are implemented
Attend all staff meetings, continuing education, and center events
Maintain state mandated staff/student ratio at all times
Requirements
At Whiz Kids, a preschool teacher must have:
An Associates Degree in ECE or a related field
Clear criminal record
Prior experience working with young children, preferably within a similar setting
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Warm, approachable disposition
Excellent problem-solving skills
Passion for early childhood development
