This position leads the sales and account management efforts of multiple multi-million-dollar Corporate Accounts. Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the sales strategy, working with key customers as well as cross functionally with our corporate staff. Works alongside the VP’s of Corporate Accounts to ensure professional responses to RFP’s, customer quotes, and additional market opportunities are delivered on a consistent basis. This position will be heavily focused on account strategy, developing insights on the packaging, and foodservice markets, and have a ability to communicate to C-level at our corporate customers. Strong management and business development skillset utilized to support the growth of assigned accounts. Three direct reports.
- Achieves sales, gross profit, and margin objectives through developing and growing new and current customer relationships within our corporate account network and with food service concepts
- Establishes sales objectives by creating account management plans for target customers in support of corporate objectives
- Develop a sales plan that includes account-level targets, securing base business, net new business, and identifying growth opportunities in current and new accounts. Negotiate and complete customer agreements.
- Supports customers by recommending product lines by identifying new product opportunities and/or packaging and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors
- Addresses customer service issues with urgency, providing solutions, guidance, and identifying process improvements
- Maintains up-to-date customer data in CRM, including calls and visits, quote pipeline open items and other products, customer service, and account management details
- Regular travel throughout the U.S. is required; manages travel administrative and team budget/expenses
- Proactively manage stock replenishment and orders to ensure optimal stock coverage, align with Buyer/Planner on future orders, open-to-buy and replenishment. Identify, present, and execute opportunities for further growth
- Develops consolidated view of sales strategies across all accounts and understands lever to pull with customer to drive sales, GM for ACR
