As a Corporate Staff Accountant, you will be a key player on our accounting team, responsible for assisting with reconciling account balances, entering general ledger transactions, and assisting with the preparation of month-end closing schedules. Your expertise will support our commitment to financial precision and operational excellence.
Pay Range: $68,000-74,000 Salary. Our pay is based upon experience, education, location and qualifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in general accounting functions, including entry and reconcilement of loans held for sale, servicing advances and securitization activity.
Understand and assist with accounts payable, fixed assets, and accounts receivable as assigned.
Assist with month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy with assigned journal entries and account reconciliations.
Recording and reconciling general ledger activity, to include accruals, amortization and loan level origination and purchase allocations.
Collaborate with external auditors during year-end closing and reporting.
Assist with internal controls, audits, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with tax and regulatory filings, such as state escheatment, excise tax, etc.
Engage in ad hoc projects as needed/assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
3-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
Mortgage accounting experience is a definite plus, especially with Mortgage Accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central/Loan Vision/AMB).
MS office with moderate/advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.).
Solid understanding of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary : $68,000 - $74,000
