Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Servicing Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in analyzing servicing data, streamlining processes, and collaborating across departments to enhance operational efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of required reporting and reconciling for servicing data using a servicing system, database and reporting tools. Processes include, but are not limited to, loan boarding, loan sales, service release, MERS, regulatory compliance, escalated issues to minimize company risk for monetary loss, and investor inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and SQL, and the ability to navigate ambiguous situations with minimal direction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze servicing data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain comprehensive exception reports for the Servicing department.
Review and reconcile service reports and data validations, such as client billing for advances post-transfers.
Process Improvement & Documentation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to streamline servicing processes.
Assist in documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures and training materials for the Servicing department.
Operationalize servicing-related processes by creating training materials, writing SOPs, documenting best practices, and driving the adoption of new procedures.
Problem Solving & Stakeholder Engagement:
Research and respond to inquiries from vendors and stakeholders promptly.
Identify and resolve servicing problems based on a deep understanding of servicing procedures, standards, and the servicing platforms.
Execute and problem-solve in day-to-day operations for Servicing.
Project Management & Collaboration:
Complete mortgage servicing projects as needed, individually or as part of a team.
Collaborate with other departments in building or improving cross-functional tasks.
Own Servicing responses from Compliance as part of regulator reviews.
Qualifications:

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and SQL. Excellent data manipulation skills.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in mortgage servicing operations. Deep understanding of mortgage servicing concepts, including but not limited to: mortgage loan documents, data fields, and terminology.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning abilities. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to organize, prioritize, and allocate workload for optimum efficiency.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
3 – 5 years of experience in mortgage servicing
Mortgage industry experience required
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).

Pay Range:
$75k - $80K
