SUMMARY
The Processing Technician Level 2 will play a critical role in overseeing the processing and packaging of all high quality, cannabis goods. The successful candidate for this leadership position will have a track record of proven performance, demonstrated advanced knowledge and understanding of cannabis processes from harvest to final packaging, and maintain a reputation as an example of leadership within the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities of the Processing Technician Level 2 include leading the processing and handling of cannabis from harvest to packaging; recording and documenting weights and measurements; and assist management with maintaining the highest level of cleanliness inside all processing areas.
- Provide over-site in the harvesting plant material process to ensure efficiency and quality. Maintain SOP standards and assist management with enforcing as needed.
- Demonstrate expertise in advanced processing techniques including bucking, trimming, sifting, and other physical manipulation of biomass, guiding team members to achieve optimal results
- Inspects and weighs cannabis flower, as well as unusable stems, stalks, and fan leaves for input into the inventory tracking system.
- Provide guidance to incoming and current processing technicians by demonstrating best practices and reviewing processing work flow in accordance with standard operating procedure.
- Assist in Weighing and packaging cannabis goods of all forms. Collaborate with management to ensure work stations and packaging is staged for daily production. Provide inventory updates as needed on supply counts.
- Ensure batch records are updated and accurately reflect flow on inventory. Reports any outliers or concerns to management.
- Maintain inventory tracking systems including assisting with seed-to-sale system updates as needed. Immediately inform management of any discrepancies or irregularities.
- Ensures accurate and compliant logging and disposal of waste in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure. Regularly reviews daily waste logs and updates as needed.
- Oversees the thorough sanitation and cleaning of tools, supplies, and work areas; demonstrating the standard of cleanliness needed in the processing areas.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent – required
- 1-3 years experience packaging product within a commercial cannabis facility
- Proven ability in effective time management and multitasking skills
- Must be in current positive standing with the company and maintain a positive work performance
Required Knowledge and Abilities
- Basic Math required for inventory, projections, and measurements.
- Comprehensive cannabis knowledge from Harvest to Final Packaging
- Excellent time-management skills; Ability to effectively plan and prioritize
- Ability to maintain confidentiality; Absolute reliability and honesty
- Ability to focus; Attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team; Ability to communicate clearly and calmly
- Ability to remain calm in periods of high stress or unusual activity

Additional Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to pass state mandated background check(s)
SCHEDULE
Available to work Monday-Thursday, 7am-5:30pm ET, with flexibility for mandatory overtime as required to meet business needs.

Production environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, safety is paramount. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The job is performed indoors in a traditional warehouse like setting. Exposure to heat, bright lights and organic chemicals is expected. Protective safety clothing, shoes, glasses, goggles, gloves, facemasks, or hat may be required to be worn.
