About the Role:
The Senior Production Manager will oversee all production phases from harvest through to finished-goods’ processing, ensuring high-quality standards and operational efficiency to achieve consistent, premium-quality cannabis products. They will ensure timely and compliant execution of all production and packaging tasks, maintaining adherence to state regulations and company SOPs. They will track and report KPI metrics to help deliver monthly KPIs and quarterly and annual business objectives.

How you’ll make a difference (required duties and responsibilities):
Leadership & Team Development:
- Directly supervise and coach OPS’ management – from seed-to-sale – developing and fostering a high-performance culture with collaborative teamwork.
- Proactively address employee relations’ issues, providing timely and constructive feedback, and drive continuous improvement across the OPS’ team.
- Partner with Human Resources and cross functionally to lead the implementation of strategic training programs to enhance team skills and performance in alignment with production goals (ideally compliantly going above and beyond vs goals).
Production Management and Oversight:
- Effectively lead all production phases from harvest (partnering with National Cultivation) through to finished goods’ processing, ensuring high-quality standards and operational efficiency for premium-quality cannabis products, demonstrating knowledge and strong hands-on proficiency with production management platforms (METRC, Dutchie) and other relevant tools, etc.
- Ensure timely and compliant execution of all production and packaging tasks, maintaining adherence to Ohio state regulations and company SOPs.
- Review and address labor production schedules based on business needs, production goals and resource availability. Lead and report monthly KPI metrics for continuous improvement; adjust, as needed.
Quality & Compliance:
- Oversee and maintain rigorous quality control measures to produce premium cannabis products consistently.
- Oversee the audits of batch records and inventory data to ensure accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Process Optimization:
- Lead efforts to streamline production processes, enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Lead the implementation of new technologies or methods to improve production efficiency and product quality.
- Manage packaging goals based on product availability and incoming orders, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and review inventory and production reports to track and report progress and ultimately achievement towards monthly, quarterly and annual budget goals.
- Ensure accurate and real-time updates to seed-to-sale systems and other tracking tools.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborates with the National Director, Production to set and review production for sales targets, proactively address any operational challenges and drive strategic / forward planning.
- Drives initiatives that align with long-term goals, enhancing both operational performance and employee engagement.
- Other responsibilities, as assigned by either the Director, Operations and/or the National Director, Production
Skills to be Successful (minimum qualifications):
- Must be 25 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Work history showing progressive responsibilities and a successful track record
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team development skills with a track record of driving performance and fostering a positive work environment.
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with cannabis production processes and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.
- Highly capable of resolving escalating issues and/or employee relations’ issues directly and effectively
- Operates with integrity. Trustworthy and reliable.
- Must pass federal and state mandated background checks
Computers and Technology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Proficiency with production software, inventory systems and office equipment

Manufacturing environment that requires extended time standing, walking, bending and reaching. Ability to carry up to 50lbs for up to a distance of 100ft may be required.
