Job Summary:
Typically, expect some professional experience in account management. Applies the core principles of insurance to everyday situations and demonstrates the skills and knowledge to understand specific needs or requirements that may require an inventive approach. Typically, an individual contributor; works with rare guidance or supervision. Performs more advanced responsibilities and are primary points of contact for the clients they oversee. Develops coverage strategy and plan. Sr. Account Managers have their own accounts and likely work with more complex or demanding clients. Required to have the necessary insurance license(s).

Experience required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Active 2-20 Insurance License (Florida)
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in Commercial Middle or Large Market Lines, preferably with Environmental Services clients
- Preferred, but not required: Epic agency management system experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Including Client Advisor, Account Manager, and Associate Account Manager
- Detail-oriented and efficient in handling multiple requests in a timely manner
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and understanding of commercial insurance coverages and terms with the ability to communicate orally and in writing to interpret and explain complex issues to Client Advisor, clients, underwriters or brokers
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret policy language and communicate change requests clearly to the insurance company
- Advise clients on coverage options, policy changes, marketplace conditions, etc.
- Request invoices from accounting team and prepare premium finance agreements
- Regularly review aged receivables to ensure timely collection of premium payments from clients
- Conduct renewal reviews and remarket policies as necessary including online rating/marketing with various insurance companies, when applicable.
- Review and manage all cancellation notices received, inform Client Advisor of pending cancellation and monitor for reinstatement, if applicable
- If reinstatement not forthcoming, discuss replacement coverage strategy with Client Advisor and remarket to secure replacement coverage
- Support Client Advisor in delivering service commitments to clients including preparing proposals for presentations
- Maintain client accounts in the agency automation system (Epic) with a high degree of accuracy including proper documentation and following agency workflows
- Respond timely to client and/or Client Advisor requests to deliver extraordinary client service and avoid potential E&O issues
- Respond timely to underwriter or broker requests for additional information
- Participate in scheduled team meetings with Client Advisor and other team members
- Other duties and special projects as deemed necessary and assigned by Management
- Participate in continuing education and other training opportunities to develop knowledge and skills
- Provide backup support to others as necessary and assigned by Management
- Keep Client Advisor fully informed of important occurrences on all accounts
