Desktop Support Technician

Job Title: Desktop Support Technician (US Citizen Only)

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support to users for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including setting up new user accounts and equipment.
• Manage and track IT assets and inventory.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
• Provide support for remote users and troubleshoot issues with VPNs and remote desktop software.
• Document issues and solutions in the ticketing system and create knowledge base articles.
• Ensure timely resolution of support requests to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in a desktop support or IT helpdesk role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems.
• Experience in office productivity software, such as Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience with Active Directory, user account management, and group policies.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Federal Experience is a plus.
