Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of healthcare IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, including internal staff, contractors, and vendors.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management regularly.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations for future improvements.
- Facilitate the adoption of new systems and technologies within the organization.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and change logs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Experience managing IT projects in the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, including EHR/EMR systems, patient management systems, and healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR).
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent project management skills, including proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the healthcare industry (HIPAA, HITECH).
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
