General Job Description
This position will be responsible for the Asset Maintenance Business Unit project’s day-to-day management to ensure the contract requirements are met in a safe, dependable, cost-effective, and aesthetically pleasing manner as directed by the Operations and Maintenance Manager.

595 O&M Company, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ACSID. 595 O&M is responsible to perform all maintenance and renewal work for the I-595 interstate system until 2044. I-595 is Broward County’s
major east-west thoroughfare used by residents and visitors to get to work, shops, entertainment venues, the airport, Port Everglades, and the beaches. The I-595 consists of three at-grade reversible express toll lanes known as 595 Express, serving express traffic to/from its direct connection with I-75/Sawgrass in the west to I-95 and Florida’s Turnpike in between. The Project is a public-private partnership (P3) between FDOT and I-595 Express, LLC (the “Concessionaire”) The Concessionaire has contracted with 595 O&M, for a period of 20 years, to perform all maintenance for the assigned facilities including work associated with Roadway, Structures, Drainage, Roadside, Vegetation and Aesthetics, Traffic Services, Incident Management, Road Rangers, Traffic Management Cetner Operations, and all related Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS).

− Performs condition assessment of pavements, signs, guardrails, bridges, vegetation and other contract infrastructure and assets. Schedules and coordinate work to be performed. Assist with roadway characteristics through RCI inventory.
− Assists the Operations and Maintenance Manager to determine the best approach (self-performance or sub-contract) for bringing assets into contract compliance considering cost, timelines, and efficiency. Plans and coordinates work plan schedules.
− Inspects in-process and completed work to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
− Supervisory responsibility including the selection, development, and performance management of maintenance crews. Facilitates all required new hire training and ongoing required safety and work standard training.
− This position requires being available outside of normal business hours as needed, and participating in an on-call rotation on nights, weekends and holidays as may be needed.
− Always available to all incident emergencies and coordinate work of on-site responders. Report accident/injury (actual and near misses).
− Assists in the inspection of fleet. Manage, monitor, and control highway project assets and materials.
− Identifies opportunities for changes and improvements in work methods, processes, efficiency, and cost reduction.
− Create and manage successful completion of all work orders.
− Responsible for accurate and timely completion and entry of work reporting and timesheets for field crews. Prepares other reports and correspondence as necessary.
− Identifies, qualifies subcontractors, and assists in negotiating contract parameters with sub-contractors.
− Assists and monitors routine work plan activities such as traffic control and maintenance work.
− Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
− High School diploma or higher; with relevant work experience
− Armed Forces Service is highly adaptable
− Construction or Maintenance Experience highly sought-after
− Work Experience: 7 years’ work experience in construction and/or road maintenance industry (preferred); prior experience in a leadership role (highly preferred)
− Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record (required) DOT certifications (highly desired)
− CDL license preferred.
− Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to stand; sit; walk on a wide range of surfaces; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment.
