Overview :
Our client, a long-standing manufacturing company in Beaverton, is seeking a Principal Engineer / Architect to join their team. This role will be responsible for the architecture, design, and development of its software platform and will provide technical guidance to all team members. This full-time position is located in Beaverton, OR.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of software features and architecture, including the software / hardware interface.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and Product Line management to define new features.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the software engineering team. Drive the adoption of and ensure best practices in coding and design.
- Ensure product quality by conducting code reviews, design reviews, and adhering to quality standards and best practices.
- Manage projects to ensure the timely delivery of new products and features.
- Participate in the defect triage process, managing the reproduction of software bugs, developing solutions or workarounds, and deploying them to the field.
- Identify new technologies and evaluate their potential applicability to new products and solutions.
- Collaborate and communicate with other business units, including sales, marketing, technical support, and manufacturing.
- Interface with key customers and mediate their technical requirements.
