SUBJECT LINE: Full-Time Construction Safety Specialist Position – GA (remote)
Currently hiring part-time Construction Safety Specialist. Overall knowledge in safety, OSHA requirements & standards. Good verbal and written skills will be required. Applicant will work 90% on client’s property and 10% from their home. Veterans strongly encouraged to apply. Relocation not required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts morning safety briefings.
- Send daily reports of site findings to OSH manager.
- Communicate/Elevate important information in a timely manner.
- Remain on-site in constant observance with ongoing work (100%) of time.
- Perform spot checks, ensure personnel are signed-in to dashboard.
- Account for and report personnel in the event of emergency to the OSH Manager.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Provide safety and health assistance to management, supervisors, employees and collateral duty safety representatives.
- Perform safety audits, inspections and evaluations to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide specialty safety services and assessments addressing requirements that include lockout tagout and confined space.
- Develop and deliver customer training one-on-one, in groups – classrooms.
- Investigating complaints and reports of unsafe or unhealthful working conditions; provide recommendations for abatement actions; and verify completion of abatement actions.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- OSHA 30
- OSHA 500/510/511, GSP, ASP, CHST or CSP Certification
- 5 years Construction Safety/Training Experience
- Relevant Technical Construction Understanding/Experience
- Safety Program Administration experience
- Proficient in Risk and Incident Management
- Adequate Hazard Recognition Abilities
- Regulatory Compliance Understanding/Experience
- Demonstrated Safety Leadership
- Intermediate Computer Competencies
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment
- Communicative team player that is very detail oriented and has outstanding interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a complex environment
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Organizational skills and multitasking abilities
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
- Strong computer skills preferably in a PC environment
