What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer position at Actalent?
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with aerospace experience to join our team.
The ideal candidate will handle projects from start to finish, including BOM take-off, writing assembly instructions, tooling design, and working with floor personnel to understand assembly processes and improve efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials)
- Create and update assembly instructions
- Design tooling as needed
- Conduct process improvement and root cause analysis
- Perform time studies to improve efficiency
- Work with floor personnel to understand and improve assembly processes
- Handle projects from inception to completion
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in manufacturing and assembly operations
- Knowledge of CNC machining (Bridgeport & HASS machines)
- Experience with composites layup process for aircraft parts
- Skills in labor analysis (time studies)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software (SolidWorks)
- Proficiency in Windows applications (Excel, Word, Project, Management, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Good mechanical and technical skills
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information and comply with ITAR regulations
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with process improvement methodologies
- Experience with CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
- Experience in root cause analysis
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $45.00/hr.
