Job Title: Architectural Surveyor

Job Description

The Architectural Surveyor will be traveling to various sites across the country to perform surveying responsibilities using digital cameras for retail and commercial sites. This involves conducting condition assessments on buildings for clients and then drafting findings into AutoCAD. Typically, the Architectural Surveyor will complete 2 to 3 surveys per week, with site visits taking 3-4 hours or longer for bigger sites. This role involves collecting utility locations, including MEP information such as make/model of existing equipment, electrical panel location and service locations, architectural information, and ceiling dimensions. Surveys will often require accessing the roof of buildings and working on ladders to survey fixtures. The survey duties can be taught and trained.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various sites across the country to conduct condition assessments on buildings.

• Draft findings into AutoCAD after site visits.
• Collect all utility locations, including MEP information such as make/model of existing equipment, electrical panel location and service locations.
• Gather architectural information and ceiling dimensions.
• Access roofs and work on ladders to survey fixtures.

Essential Skills

• Associates or Bachelors in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Knowledge of architecture process and construction documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good CAD skills to draft up the completed surveys.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in architecture, architectural engineering, construction documents, and surveying.

Work Environment

The role involves traveling to sites 80% of the time and working from home drafting and report writing 20% of the time. Typically, the workweek is 50-55 hours, including 10-15 hours of travel time. Travel arrangements, including flights, rental cars, and lodging, are handled by the company. The candidate will expense food, gas, Ubers, etc. A company credit card will be provided to cover these expenses. The Architectural Surveyor must be based in one of the following cities: Denver, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, or Phoenix. The role offers the opportunity to work remotely when not traveling, and includes paid travel time, air miles, and hotel rewards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

Health Insurance
All full time Associates are entitled/provided Group Insurance through a company program.
Compnay pays 100% of the monthly premium for full time Associates. Associates are responsible
for paying a portion (set amount determined by the company) of the additional coverage for
spouse and families. Associates are eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the
following month after their 30th day of employment.
Dental Insurance
All full time Associates are entitled/provided Group Insurance through a company program. The
employee pays 100% of the premium for themselves and their dependents. Associates are
eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the following month after their 30th day of
employment.
AFLAC Insurance
All full time Associates are entitled/provided AFLAC Insurance through a company program.
The employee pays 100% of the premium through payroll deduction for themselves and their
dependents. Associates are eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the following
month after their 30th day of employment.
Disability Insurance
Company pays 100% of both a short and long term disability policy along with a life insurance
policy for all eligible Associates. Eligibility begins after the 90 days of employment.
Retirement Plan
After 1 year of continuous employment, Associates are eligible to participate in the company
sponsored 401K plan for tax deferred retirement savings. Eligible employees will be able to
participate in the program on January 1st or July 1st following eligibility.
Holidays
Company recognizes the 6 major holidays. Employees are eligible for Holiday pay after their 90
days of employment.
PTO (Paid Time Off)
The amount of PTO time which an employee is entitled to is dependent upon their length of
continuous full-time service as follows:

Less than one year Prorated (after 90 days)
1 year to 4 years 15 working days
5 years to 9 years 20 working days
10 years or more 25 working days
PTO Birthday
Eligible after 90 days - a single day on or near your birthday.
