Job Title: Bilingual - Spanish - Back Office Medical Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support in various clinical and administrative tasks including patient updates, data entry, and triage. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct follow-ups with patients
• Update patient records and enter data accurately
• Answer inbound phone calls and provide excellent customer service
• Order labs and relay lab results to patients
• Schedule follow-up appointments
• Perform triage and provide clinical support

Essential Skills

• Bilingual
• MA Diploma OR MA Certification
• Medical experience as a Medical Assistant
• High School Diploma
• Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Athena
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience in ordering labs and managing lab results
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to handle patient care and appointment scheduling

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Medical Assisting
• Medical Assisting diploma or certification preferred but not required
• BLS certification
• Experience with insurance processes

Work Environment

This role involves working onsite at a clinic. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
