Job Description

We are seeking a consultant to provide electrical drafting support. This role involves using AutoCAD to create single line diagrams, schematic drawings, I/O lists, and conduit schedules. The candidate must be comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment, as this position is based in a foundry. The role requires spending 75% of the time in front of a computer doing CAD work, and 25% of the time on the plant floor measuring.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD to create single line diagrams, schematic drawings, I/O lists, and conduit schedules.
• Work within a heavy industrial environment, specifically a foundry.
• Spend 75% of the time performing CAD work at a desk.
• Spend 25% of the time on the plant floor taking measurements.

Essential Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD (can be from school).
• Associate's degree or higher in EMET, EE, or CAD.
• Comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment.
• 0-5 years of experience using AutoCAD to create electrical single line diagrams and schematics.

Work Environment

The consultant will work in an office adjacent to the mill. The offices are air-conditioned, and the dress code is casual (jeans are acceptable). The team consists of 8 engineers and 3 drafters, with only one electrical drafter. The role involves a 70/30 split between desk work and time spent on the shop floor. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00
