Job Description
We are hiring for a long-term Chassis Design Engineer focused on steering automotive design. The role involves designing steering chassis parts within CATIA V5, conducting design feasibility and cost analysis, performing strength calculations, and selecting materials. You will also be responsible for part construction, specification, scheduling, and coordinating activities involved in prototyping, fabricating, and manufacturing of assigned products and systems.
Responsibilities
- Design steering chassis parts within CATIA V5.
- Conduct design feasibility and cost analysis, strength calculations, and material selection.
- Oversee part construction, specification, scheduling, and coordinating activities for prototyping, fabricating, and manufacturing.
- Analyze components/parts to ensure layout, quality, cost, and performance standards are met or exceeded.
- Recommend cost-effective design modifications and improvements that support testing and mass production.
Essential Skills
- 5 years of chassis design experience (steering preferred).
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 and CATIA V6.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in chassis design, including suspension and steering design.
Work Environment
You will be part of a design team consisting of 20 engineers.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
