Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our specialty clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for rooming patients, taking vitals, and managing medication prior authorizations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic and providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients and taking vitals such as height, weight, and BMI.
- Submitting medication prior authorization requests to insurance companies, providing details about the patient's condition and the necessity of the medication.
- Answering phone calls and providing excellent customer service to patients and their families.
- Assisting with sterile trays, small procedures, perform x-rays
Essential Skills
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Proficiency in medical assisting tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with medication prior authorization.
Work Environment
The work environment is a Gastroenterology clinic within a provider's office. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The providers sees patients each day from 8am-5pm. Some days the providers is in surgery, and these will be administration days for the CMA. This role offers a supportive and friendly atmosphere with no weekend work and holidays off.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.22 - $25.00/hr.
