Job Title: VEV EMC Technician
Job Description
The candidate will be overall in charge of the chassis dyno operation at the Allen Park Test Lab. 4-5 vehicles will be tested on the chassis dynos every shift. The candidate will be physically in the vehicle driving on the chassis dyno. Set up will consist of attaching exhaust equipment to the vehicle to collect emissions for data collection. Must be able to operate a chassis dyno to be considered. Instrumentation and calibration are nice to have as well.
Preferred experience with Dyno and flexible to other automotive technicians (elect techs, chassis dyno tech, etc.)
Position Qualifications
• Dyno Experience
• Strong Automotive technical aptitude specifically in the area
Dyno Operation
• Strong diagnostic skills related to test system instrumentation and vehicle diagnostics
The following items are desired but not required:
• in-depth knowledge of Ford CAN diagnostic and flashing tools (Ford DET tool, Canalyzer)
Other
• Strong technical writing skills
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written), willing to make presentations in front of large groups
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and quickly adjust to changing requirements
• Good communicator with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Flexible work schedule
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
