We are looking for a talented Test Technician, II you will be responsible for operating a dynamometer and running tests to gather data on multiple applications to ensure data meets design specifications established by Customers. You will assist engineers in determining the practicality of proposed product design changes and carry out tests on experimental test devices or equipment for performance, durability, or efficiency.

You will assist engineers in determining the practicality of proposed product design changes and carry out tests on experimental test devices or equipment for performance, durability, or efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
- Set up mechanical, hydraulic, or electric test equipment in accordance with engineering specifications, standards, or test procedures.
- Ensure fixtures for the parts, measurements, and pictures are appropriate and validated to ensure function and fit exists.
- Monitor machine-controlled test equipment to ensure the test is performing as expected.
- Ensures test results are complete and accurate.
- Inspect or test parts to determine the nature or cause of defects or malfunctions.
- Document and report all defects or malfunctions so appropriate decisions can be made by Customers and Engineers.
- Document test results, using cameras, spreadsheets, documents, or other tools as required.
- Preparation of test parts including mapping of rotors and brake pads.
- Set up machine fixtures, capacitive probes, and noise analyzer for testing.
- Operate testing software and console control.
- Interpretation of test procedures including control program.
- Follow test and control program procedures from beginning to end to gather data.
- Post test data review for interpretation and decision-making.
- Assist other departments as needed for setups and teardowns of various test equipment.
- Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.
- All other related duties as assigned.
- Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job.

Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree of Science in Engineering Technology or a related field preferred.
- High school Diploma.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in an automotive engineering laboratory or related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Intermediate knowledge of machine troubleshooting.
- Completed coursework in digital electronics, circuit functions, and basic electronics preferred.
- Proven knowledge of the practical application of Engineering Science and Technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, and procedures to the equipment for production.
- Analytical, observant, and communicative to handle the precise nature of the work.
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk.
- Ability to speak verbally and read in English
- Ability to see with corrective lenses.
- Ability to hear.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Must be willing to work overtime as required to facilitate testing needs and customer timelines.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.
