Job Title: Wet Process Tech
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wet Process Technician to join our team. This role involves blending in three separate tank farms and ensuring compliance with quality process standards and specification requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for batching concentrate, performing daily process rounds, and troubleshooting processing system problems. Additionally, you will work with production lines during weekly line sanitizations and treat wastewater streams.
Responsibilities
- Blend in three separate tank farms.
- Understand and perform to the customer's quality process standards and specification requirements.
- Batch concentrate.
- Perform daily process rounds.
- Troubleshoot processing system problems and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Work with production lines during weekly line sanitizations.
- Treat wastewater streams.
- Operate and perform work on laboratory equipment for solution testing, including chlorine meters.
- Assist with the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of blending responsibilities and equipment.
- Ensure quality products are produced in the appropriate quantity within established guidelines.
- Work as a productive leader/member of the manufacturing team and independently.
- Keep blending equipment sanitized.
- Maintain and monitor water systems and wastewater disposal.
- Monitor all production to ensure lotion requirements are met.
- Perform cleaning and sanitization of process equipment and blending areas.
- Conduct chemical raw material inventories as needed.
- Communicate with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing personnel using process measurement data.
- Place all non-conforming items on hold using company hold/reject process.
- Assist in root cause determination, corrective actions, and documentation.
- Comply with all processes and procedures for regulatory agencies.
- Handle and dispose of chemicals properly and understand GHS codes.
- Understand and comply with lockout/tag-out procedures.
- Follow all sanitary practices for sampling of process equipment, materials, and assets.
Essential Skills
- Mathematical competence.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience in the chemical industry preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP, blending, compounding, and batching.
- Ability to operate and perform work on laboratory equipment for solution testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Perform written and verbal communication with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing personnel.
- Understanding of Shop Orders.
- Ability to work in a safe and ethical manner at all times.
Work Environment
The position requires working rotating 12-hour shifts from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. It involves significant physical activity, including continuously lifting 50 lbs throughout the duration of the shift.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
