Job Summary
">We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Specimen Collector to join our team. As a Clinical Specimen Collector, you will be responsible for collecting and processing patient specimens in a fast-paced lab setting.
Responsibilities
- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Properly explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection to patients.
- Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Attend annual department trainings.
- Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
Requirements
- Valid Phlebotomy certification (if required by state).
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience performing venipunctures in a lab or hospital setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma or GED.
