Job Title: Construction Project Coordinator

Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Coordinator for an onsite position at the GM plant in Rochester, NY.
• The ideal candidate will support Project Managers and teams with various administrative and project-related tasks to ensure smooth project execution and completion.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and teams with administrative tasks, including meeting minutes and progress tracking.
• Assist Project Managers with overall project performance and execution.
• Prepare and maintain accurate logs, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and contact lists.
• Compile and complete close-out documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organized project files and records.
• Assist with project estimation, bid proposals, and preparation of price change notices.
• Attend customer meetings and assist in determining project requirements.
• Communicate project requirements effectively to customers and team members.
• Prepare project-related correspondence as needed.
• Assist in creating and maintaining construction schedules.

Essential Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency in construction-related software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Experience with MS Project or any construction software.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction, change order management, submittals, meeting minutes, construction documentation, project management, project coordination, administration, and document control.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively.

Work Environment

• This position is onsite at the GM plant in Rochester, NY.
• The work involves assisting with various tasks on both small and large projects, supporting two Project Managers.
• The role provides an excellent long-term opportunity for growth, potentially evolving into an Assistant Project Manager position for candidates who demonstrate strong skills and a desire to advance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
