Job Title: Civil Technician / Land Survey

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate reports of test results.
• Communicate findings to project managers, engineers, and clients.
• Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Document the testing of concrete, soil, and other construction materials in the field.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for testing at each construction site.
• Start the day at the office to pick up the necessary equipment.
• Commute to the construction site to conduct sampling.
• Use various equipment, including concrete testing tools, wheelbarrow and shovel, air meter, slump cone, and nuclear density gauge.
• Collect data from WisDOT and civil projects.
• Record data using handwritten notes and enter it into spreadsheets.
• Return all equipment and documentation to the office at the end of the day.

Essential Skills

• Field experience in construction.
• Understanding of construction sites, including contractors, safety hazards, and equipment.
• Experience with Civil 3D or PLS CADD
• Ability to produce handwritten field reports.
• Basic technology skills for using spreadsheets and other data collection equipment.
• Effective communication with contractors, owner's representatives, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong attendance and punctuality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's in Civil Engineering or related field

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
