Job Title: Construction Safety Manager
Job Description
This role requires a senior level safety manager who will periodically respond to a site to intervene when there is an increase in safety incidents. The individual will perform a “deep dive” to help facilitate an improvement strategy. Additionally, the manager will support the development of EHS programs, coordinate the implementation of SMPs, and support other high-level programmatic procedures and policies.
Responsibilities
- Implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
- Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
- Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff and resolve personal grievances.
- Set and monitor product standards to ensure quality finished products.
- Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
- Participate in initial orientation in Redmond, WA with all site EHS Managers and Project Executive.
- Attend initial Project Executive – Safety Manager workshop to present objectives and program and strategy.
- Participate in periodic Safety Management – Project Executive meetings every 2-3 months, held in Redmond or various job sites.
Essential Skills
- Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
- 10 years of experience in engineering or a similar field.
- Experience with safety managers.
- Technical understanding of engineering controls.
- Specialty in understanding regulations for Canada.
- Must have previous experience.
- Must possess PPE and technology provided by staffing company.
- Must sign an NDA before onboarding.
Work Environment
Work environment includes initial orientation and periodic meetings in Redmond, WA, and various job sites. The role requires interaction with EHS Managers and Project Executives. Appropriate PPE and technology will be provided by the staffing company.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
