Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Review Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will complete contract reviews for incoming purchase orders, design manufacturing routings from detailed and complex print specifications, and utilize ERP software to create routings and bills of material. You will become the subject matter expert on contract review and develop and implement changes to improve processes. Additionally, you will identify new suppliers for outside services, review product designs for compliance, and partner with the manufacturing group to optimize equipment and special process vendors.
Responsibilities
- Complete contract reviews for incoming purchase orders.
- Review purchase orders, part drawings, specifications, and flow downs to determine requirements.
- Design manufacturing routings from detailed and complex print specifications.
- Utilize ERP software system to create routings and bills of material.
- Develop and implement changes to processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Identify new suppliers for outside services and lead the qualification process.
- Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements.
- Identify suppliers and obtain quotes for outside services.
- Partner with the manufacturing group to optimize equipment and special process vendors to meet customer requirements.
- Update quotes for repeat orders to grow business strategically.
- Assist other departments in interpreting design specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Work with the manufacturing area to define production routings and refine routing updates.
- Assist with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and internal audits.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Quality/Mechanical/Manufacturing Systems/Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- 1-3 years of Quality/Product/Process Engineering experience.
- Strong technical reading and writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident card holder.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma environment.
- Knowledge of spring design and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and complex problem solving.
- Familiarity with AS9100 regulatory requirements within the aerospace industry.
Work Environment
The Contract Review Engineer will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment that supports and drives safety. You will work directly with internal and external customers during all phases of the product lifecycle. The role involves working with metals manufacturing and requires compliance with aerospace standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR. The position demands a hands-on approach in a production-focused setting, with a professional dress code.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
