Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

We proudly manufacture seats and interior components for cars, motorcycles, and recreational vehicles. Our facilities are located in Ohio, Alabama, Nebraska, Texas, Indiana, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico, with a team of over 7,000 Associates. Our Indiana facility in New Castle focuses on seat manufacturing and assembly, hosting around 600 employees across all departments. We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our engineering team due to the addition of two new production lines coming into the facility by 2025.

Responsibilities

• Implement processes to improve overall plant efficiency.
• Manage up to 20 projects simultaneously, ranging from small three-week projects to months-long new production line setups.
• Track project schedules, monitor progress, keep teammates on task, and ensure timely completion.
• Design parts for fixtures using Solidworks.
• Work hands-on with facility equipment, including troubleshooting and editing PLCs.
• Perform plant layout work using Autodesk software.
• Convert parts/drawings from 3D to 2D as needed.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of experience in a Project Engineering/Management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in troubleshooting and editing PLCs.
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Solidworks and Autodesk.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience managing large numbers of projects simultaneously (upwards of 20).
• Balanced experience in both Project Management and PLCs.

Work Environment

Our facility has 597 total employees working across three shifts to manufacture automotive seats, primarily using robotic welders. We maintain a very clean, quiet, and climate-controlled environment. This role will be part of a team of five, working under a manager alongside two other engineers. These first shift positions have core hours from 8am to 3pm, with flexibility for earlier starts or alternate schedules like Tuesday-Saturday. Uniforms are provided and paid for. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $43.27/hr.
