Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
As a Controls Engineer, you will utilize plant monitoring software to review and optimize the cycle times of machinery. You will oversee machinery projects and installations, troubleshoot issues with PLCs, robots, and other machinery, update program backups, and program new machinery and conveyor systems installations. Additionally, you will be responsible for reprogramming machinery to accommodate engineering changes and improvements.
Responsibilities
- Review cycle times of machinery using plant monitoring software.
- Oversee and follow up on machinery projects and installations.
- Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other machinery problems.
- Update program backups for machinery.
- Program new installations of machinery and conveyor systems.
- Reprogram machinery for engineering changes and improvements.
Essential Skills
- 2 years of related controls and debug experience.
- Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (Siemens or similar software).
- Experience with Siemens and/or Indramat PL7.
- Electrical knowledge (electrician or technician).
- Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with VFD’s, Armor starts, encoders, and network/Ethernet controls.
Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing environment, where you will work with various technologies and equipment. You should be prepared to handle the demands of a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00
