Job Description
We are looking for a Controls Engineer for a 12-month contract position that has the potential to become a direct hire. This role requires expertise in PLC programming, automation, and electrical troubleshooting. You will work in a dynamic environment that combines office and manufacturing floor duties.
Responsibilities
- Write code from scratch in Allen Bradley PLC.
- Read and redline in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Program Fanuc robots (preferred).
- Work with vision systems and lean manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in controls engineering.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in writing code from scratch in Allen Bradley PLC.
- Ability to read and redline in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Experience in PLC programming, automation, and electrical troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to program Fanuc robots.
- Experience with vision systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Toyota production experience.
- Familiarity with Siemens PLC.
Work Environment
The work environment includes cubicles situated between manufacturing cells, which can be noisy at times. All employees have radios to facilitate communication. The role requires spending 50% of the time on the manufacturing floor and 50% in the office. The company hosts fun events such as food trucks, free gear giveaways, and dunk tanks, with a dedicated internal team to arrange these events.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.00/hr.
