Job Title: Cost Estimator

Job Description

The Cost Estimator will be responsible for quoting new orders for customers and the sales team. They will receive requests via email from customers and sales representatives on a daily basis regarding new rolls, new cover material, etc. Once they receive the request, they will contact material suppliers, the repair team, and/or tech services to quote the request. They may be required to contact engineering as well if there are no blueprints provided. They also may need to look into previous pricing for similar orders. They will then relay the information for how long the job will take and what the cost will be to the customer or the sales team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate pricing for recover services.
• Receive, log, and distribute POs to the office and sales teams.
• Assist and support sales, manufacturing, technical services, purchasing, and quality in the distribution of information.
• Distribute sales literature and new account information.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma with 3 years of experience OR Associate's degree with 1 year of experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing office environment (customer service, sales, purchasing, etc.).
• Math aptitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (will need to speak with vendors).
• Attention to detail.
• Experience with purchase orders.
• Experience with quoting and estimating.

Work Environment

The position is primarily office-based. The individual may need to go to the floor as required to ask questions to the service team. The floor environment may be less comfortable than the office setting. The company offers a flexible working environment, one week of vacation after a 60-day probationary period, and paid time off for six major holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
